Rome (2) → Saturnia (2) → Bagni San Filippo (2) →
Chianciano Terme (2) → Florence (2) → Rome (1)
From the grandeur of Rome to the rolling hills of Tuscany, this journey blends Italy’s cultural treasures with its rich bathing traditions. Soak in ancient thermal springs, relax in elegant spa towns, and restore yourself in landscapes that have inspired for centuries. A slow, sensory voyage through the heart of Italy.

Rome
The Eternal City is a tapestry of ancient ruins, Renaissance piazzas, and trattorias spilling into cobbled lanes. Beyond the Colosseum and Vatican, Rome pulses with café culture and evening passeggiatas, where the golden light lingers on fountains and façades. As the gateway to Tuscany, it offers both grandeur and intimacy — a place to soak up history before surrendering to slower rhythms in the countryside.

Saturnia
Among rolling hills and cypress groves, Saturnia is home to Tuscany’s most iconic hot springs. Here, mineral-rich waters cascade into tiered limestone pools, steaming under open skies year-round. Locals swear by their healing properties, and the natural setting feels both rustic and cinematic. Nearby villages offer hearty Tuscan meals, from wild boar ragù to pecorino cheeses, best enjoyed after a long soak in the turquoise cascades.

Bagni San Filippo
Hidden in the Amiata forest, Bagni San Filippo is a wilder side of Tuscan bathing. Mineral deposits have created surreal white formations — most famously the “White Whale” — where hot water streams over terraces into natural pools. The air is scented with pine and sulphur, the atmosphere relaxed and local. It’s a place where nature and geology take centre stage, offering an elemental contrast to Tuscany’s manicured vineyards and Renaissance towns.

Chianciano Terme
Once beloved by Fellini and Italian film stars, Chianciano Terme is a spa town that bridges old-world glamour with modern wellness. Historic bathhouses still flow with curative waters, while contemporary thermal centres offer hydrotherapy circuits, mud treatments, and saunas scented with Tuscan herbs. The town itself is lively, with wine bars, gelaterie, and easy access to the vineyards of Montepulciano and Val d’Orcia.

Florence
Cradle of the Renaissance, Florence dazzles with its cathedral dome, Uffizi masterpieces, and Ponte Vecchio sunsets. Yet beyond its grand museums and frescoed chapels, the city also offers quieter pleasures — gardens scented with citrus, boutique artisans hammering leather or gold, and cafés where locals linger over espresso. As a finale to Tuscany’s thermal journey, Florence pairs cultural splendour with moments of repose, a fitting balance of body and spirit.

Day 1. Arrival in Rome
Arrive in Rome and ease into the journey with a gentle stroll past fountains, domes, and piazzas. Check into your spa hotel and spend your first evening dining alfresco and soaking off the travel day in a Roman-inspired thermal suite.

Day 2. Rome
Explore the Eternal City’s timeless marvels. Visit the Pantheon and Colosseum, browse Trastevere’s artisan alleys, and take in the Vatican’s grandeur. Wind down in the hotel spa or with a traditional Roman bath experience.

Day 3. Rome → Saturnia
Leave Rome behind and head north to Tuscany. Arrive in Saturnia and begin your thermal immersion in its sulphurous, naturally warm waters that have soothed visitors since Etruscan times. Watch steam curl into the cypress-lined sky and let your body slow to the rhythm of the countryside.

Day 4. Saturnia
Spend a full day in wellness mode—soak in the famed thermal pools, try a volcanic mud wrap, or nap poolside in the gentle Tuscan breeze. In the evening, enjoy local wine and seasonal dishes under the stars.

Day 5. Saturnia → Bagni San Filippo
Continue your retreat to Bagni San Filippo, where creamy-white limestone formations and forested hot pools create one of Italy’s most enchanting wild spa settings. Ease into the afternoon with a soak beneath the "White Whale" waterfall.

Day 6. Bagni San Filippo
Start your day with an early dip in one of the lesser-known pools, then spend your afternoon walking the forest trail or enjoying a rustic lunch in the village. Back at your hotel, relax with another soak or a warm herbal wrap.

Day 7. Bagni San Filippo → Chianciano Terme
Journey to Chianciano Terme, one of Italy’s most historic spa towns. Here, therapeutic waters and elegant wellness centres await. After check-in, enjoy a hydrotherapy circuit, followed by dinner with views of rolling vineyards.

Day 8. Chianciano Terme
Dedicate today to rest and renewal! Float between thermal pools, sensory showers, saunas, and mud treatments. Wander the old town for a relaxed aperitivo, or visit one of the area’s many wine estates.

Day 9. Chianciano Terme → Florence
Travel on to Florence, the Renaissance jewel. Spend your afternoon settling into your spa hotel, then take a twilight walk past the Duomo and Arno River, finishing the day with a long soak or steam session.

Day 10. Florence
Enjoy a full day of cultural treasures—see Botticelli at the Uffizi, climb Brunelleschi’s dome, or shop for handmade leather. Later, return to your spa haven to rest and reflect on a journey well lived.

Day 11. Rome
Return to Rome by train or private transfer and enjoy one last night of indulgence. Treat yourself to a farewell dinner and a final thermal soak to mark the end of your wellness escape.
