Islands, Highlands & Jungle
13 Nights / 14 Days
From £2,675 per person*
Ubud (3) → Kintamani (2) → Ipoh (2) → Chiang Mai (3) → Phuket (3)
Steam rises from Bali’s volcanic springs, tea leaves unfurl in Malaysia’s cool highlands, and lanterns glow across Thailand’s northern skies before Phuket’s waves close the circle. Highlands, jungles and coasts meet here, each sojourn a different face of Southeast Asia.
Ubud
Set among rice terraces and river valleys, Ubud is Bali’s cultural heart — a town where art, wellness, and tradition converge. Yoga studios and healing centres line its streets, while surrounding resorts offer jungle-framed spas and infinity pools. Sacred springs and water temples connect bathing to ritual, just as dance performances and craft markets root culture in daily life. Ubud feels both creative and restorative, a place where body and spirit are nourished by nature and tradition.
Kintamani
High in the hills of northern Bali, Kintamani offers sweeping views of Mount Batur and its shimmering caldera lake. Villages cling to the ridges, where cool mountain air contrasts with Bali’s coastal heat. Hot springs along the lakeshore provide restorative soaks framed by volcanic scenery, while local markets brim with citrus, coffee, and traditional crafts. Sunrise treks up the volcano pair perfectly with an afternoon dip in the thermal waters. Kintamani feels elemental and uplifting — a landscape shaped by fire and water, offering renewal in every direction.
Ipoh
In the heart of Malaysia’s Perak state, Ipoh blends colonial charm with a growing reputation for wellness. Karst limestone hills surround the city, hiding cave temples adorned with murals and stalactites. Nearby geothermal springs, such as at The Banjaran, offer luxury spa experiences in dramatic natural settings. Ipoh’s old town hums with heritage shophouses, street art, and coffee shops, while its cuisine, from bean sprout chicken to white coffee, is beloved across the country. Ipoh is quietly captivating, a city where bathing, food, and culture align.
Chiang Mai
Northern Thailand’s cultural capital, Chiang Mai is a city of temples, night markets, and leafy streets framed by mountains. Wellness thrives here: herbal saunas, massage schools, and spa resorts offering treatments drawn from Lanna traditions. The surrounding countryside holds hot springs, waterfalls, and trekking trails through forest and hill-tribe villages. Days move easily between gilded stupas, bustling bazaars, and calm riverside cafés. Chiang Mai is both restorative and vibrant — a place where heritage, healing, and creativity meet.
Phuket
Thailand’s largest island balances turquoise bays, rainforest hills, and a lively cultural mix. Patong’s beaches and nightlife hum with energy, while quieter coves and fishing villages offer a slower rhythm by the sea. Offshore, coral reefs invite diving and sailing, while inland trails lead through jungle to waterfalls and lookouts. Phuket Town reveals another side of the island — colourful Sino-Portuguese architecture, bustling markets, and street food stalls serving southern Thai flavours. Life here moves easily between activity and ease, with the sea itself as the constant source of renewal.
Day 1. Arrival in Ubud, Bali
Arrive in Bali and transfer to your retreat in Ubud, the island’s cultural and wellness heart. The afternoon is yours to unwind among lush rice terraces and jungle surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a gentle welcome massage or a traditional Balinese dinner under the stars.
Day 2. Ubud’s Temples & Traditions
Start the day with a yoga or meditation session, then explore Ubud’s highlights: the Sacred Monkey Forest, the serene Tirta Empul water temple, and the sweeping Tegallalang rice terraces. Return to your hotel for an afternoon spa ritual that blends herbal oils with Balinese healing traditions.
Day 3. Into the Highlands of Kintamani
Travel north into Bali’s volcanic highlands. Stop at caldera viewpoints with sweeping views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur, and pause at Toya Bungkah to soak in natural hot spring pools. Continue to Desa Oculus, your highland hideaway overlooking the lake, and settle in as mists gather over the mountains.
Day 4. Mount Batur Sunrise Trek
Rise early for a guided trek to the summit of Mount Batur, where sunrise reveals the island bathed in golden light. In the afternoon, relax with a restorative spa ritual before a final farewell dinner of southern Thai flavours, lemongrass, chili and coconut.
