    Bormio

High in the Lombardy Alps, Bormio has been a thermal haven since Roman times. Mineral waters bubble up into cliffside pools and grand spa complexes, their warmth a contrast to the surrounding peaks. In winter, skiers descend from the Stelvio slopes straight into steaming baths; in summer, hikers trade alpine trails for riverside soaks. Stone villages, hearty Valtellina cuisine, and centuries of spa culture make Bormio both invigorating and restorative — a place where mountain landscapes and bathing rituals meet.

    Milan

Italy’s style capital balances fashion runways with Gothic spires and hidden courtyards. The Duomo rises like a marble forest, while the Galleria buzzes with espresso bars and boutiques. Beyond the glamour, Milan offers leafy canals in the Navigli district, contemporary art in converted factories, and aperitivo culture that turns evenings into a ritual. As a gateway to the Alps, the city combines cosmopolitan polish with easy access to mountain air and thermal traditions.

    Day 1. Arrival in Bormio

Fly from London to Milan Malpensa and transfer to the alpine town of Bormio. Settle into your hotel, then head straight to the ancient cliffside pools at QC Terme Bagni Vecchi. In the evening, stroll Bormio’s medieval lanes and enjoy a hearty local dinner—perhaps pizzoccheri and a glass of Valtellina wine.

Day 2. Old Town & Bagni Nuovi

Begin the day with a guided walk through Bormio’s historic centre—gateways, towers, and frescoed churches. After lunch at a traditional trattoria, explore the local folk museum. In the afternoon, soak in QC Terme Bagni Nuovi, known for its panoramic terraces, thermal grottos, and mountain views.

Day 3. Stelvio Pass & Alpine Soaking

Drive the iconic Stelvio Pass with its 48 hairpin bends. Take a short guided hike to World War I fortifications, then enjoy a rustic lunch in a high-mountain refuge. Check in to the Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi, a 4★ spa hotel with direct access to Bagni Vecchi’s ancient baths. Soak under the stars.

    Day 4. Valtellina Wine Day

Take a scenic transfer to the Valtellina valley for a tour of terraced Nebbiolo vineyards. Taste regional wines and enjoy a farm-to-table lunch overlooking the vines. Return to your spa hotel and unwind in the “Mammut” outdoor pool, perched above the valley.

Day 5. Cooking & Aquagranda Spa

Join a morning cooking class in Bormio to learn traditional dishes like taroz and pizzoccheri. After lunch, head to Bormio's Thermal Park—featuring saunas, salt caves, and panoramic pools. Spend the evening in town or relaxing at the hotel.

    Day 6. Stelvio National Park

    Day 7. Thermal Farewell

Enjoy a slow morning soak and optional spa massage before an alpine brunch. In the afternoon, transfer back to Milan for your return flight home. Or, for a more relaxed pace, an extra night in Italy's fashion capital.
