From £3,395 per person*
Mexico City (2) → Valladolid (2) → Tulum (3) → Mérida (2)
→ Mexico City (1)
Swim beneath jungle canopies in Valladolid, slip into Tulum’s cavernous cenotes, and join a Mayan temazcal by the sea. From Mexico City’s rooftop spas to Mérida’s hacienda rituals, this journey blends crystalline waters, steam traditions, and colonial charm.
Mexico City
Mexico City is a metropolis of contrasts — where Aztec temples meet baroque cathedrals and rooftop spas crown sleek hotels. Days are filled with colour and culture, from Diego Rivera’s vast murals to markets spilling with chilies and flowers, while evenings drift into plazas alive with song and mezcal. For the wellness seeker, the city offers a softer side: serene courtyards, temazcal-inspired rituals, and rooftop pools where warm waters mingle with views across the Valley of Mexico.
Valladolid
Valladolid is a Yucatán gem where pastel colonial façades line quiet plazas, and cenotes hide just beyond the cobblestones. These sinkholes — cool, crystal pools fed by underground rivers — offer some of the region’s most enchanting swims. In town, markets brim with Yucatec flavours like cochinita pibil, while convents and churches echo with centuries of history. Valladolid is slower than the coast, a place of calm beauty and authentic rhythms.
Tulum
Framed by white sands and turquoise Caribbean waters, Tulum is a beach town with ancient soul. Its clifftop Mayan ruins overlook the sea, while inland, jungle-fringed cenotes offer shaded swims. Wellness is woven into daily life — yoga studios, eco-spas, and temazcal rituals are as common as beach bars. Once a backpacker haven, Tulum has grown into a chic retreat, yet still holds moments of barefoot simplicity.
Mérida
Capital of the Yucatán, Mérida brims with colonial mansions, leafy plazas, and a cultural vibrancy that blends Maya heritage with Spanish influence. The city pulses with music and dance — from weekend street festivals to trova guitar serenades in open squares. Food is central: cochinita pibil, panuchos, and fiery salsas served in bustling markets and elegant restaurants alike. Nearby cenotes and hacienda spas offer cool relief from the tropical heat, making wellness part of the city’s rhythm. Mérida is both historic and forward-looking — a warm, welcoming hub of art, flavour, and tradition.
Day 1. Arrival in Mexico City
Arrive in Mexico’s capital and transfer to your spa-style hotel in the Polanco or Reforma district. Spend the afternoon unwinding in rooftop pools or hydrotherapy circuits before an evening stroll through the historic centre. Dinner tonight could be a terrace overlooking the Zócalo, where cathedral bells echo over the square.
Day 2. Mexico City: Culture & Spa Rituals
Discover the capital’s cultural icons: the vibrant murals at Palacio de Bellas Artes, the treasures of the National Museum of Anthropology, and leafy Chapultepec Park. In the afternoon, return to your hotel for a restorative steam or relaxing swim. Evening option: a guided mezcal tasting paired with regional dishes.
Day 3. Mexico City → Valladolid
Fly to the Yucatán Peninsula and travel to pastel-hued Valladolid. After settling in, take a guided walk through cobblestone streets lined with convents, artisan shops, and colourful doorways. Dinner at a restored hacienda introduces you to Yucatecan favourites like cochinita pibil and sopa de lima.
Day 4. Valladolid’s Cenotes
Spend the day exploring the crystalline waters of nearby cenotes. Swim in the light-filled cavern of Cenote Suytun and the lush sinkhole of Ik Kil, its vines cascading toward the turquoise water. Return to Valladolid for a relaxed evening in the central plaza or an optional spa treatment inspired by Mayan herbs.
Day 5. Valladolid → Tulum
Journey south to Tulum, where the jungle meets the Caribbean. Stop en route for a refreshing cenote swim before arriving at your eco-chic beachfront retreat. In the evening, join a private temazcal ceremony — a traditional Mayan steam lodge led by a healer, combining volcanic stones, herbs, and ritual
Day 6. Tulum’s Cenotes & Ruins
Visit two of the region’s most iconic cenotes: Dos Ojos, with its twin limestone caverns, and Gran Cenote, with clear blue waters framed by jungle. In the afternoon, tour Tulum’s clifftop ruins overlooking the turquoise sea. Sunset cocktails on the sand before a seafood dinner under the palms.
Day 7. Tulum
A full day at leisure. Cycle to hidden jungle cenotes, practice yoga on the beach, or indulge in a Mayan-inspired spa treatment using local herbs and oils. Evening free to relax at your retreat or explore Tulum’s lively dining scene.
Day 8. Tulum → Mérida (via Cenote X’batun)
Travel inland to Mérida, Yucatán’s cultural capital. Stop en route at Cenote X’batun for a swim beneath the jungle canopy, where dragonflies hover above crystal water. Arrive at your boutique spa lodge and enjoy a mezcal-infused bath before dinner in Mérida’s colonial heart.
Day 9. Mérida’s Markets & Haciendas
Morning visit to Mérida’s markets, alive with fruit stalls, embroidered textiles, and everyday Yucatecan life. Afternoon visit to a restored hacienda for a wellness ritual and cooking demonstration, blending colonial history with local flavour. Evening free — the main square often hosts music and dancing.
Day 10. Mérida → Mexico City & Departure
Fly back to Mexico City for one final evening. Relax in the hotel’s spa or rooftop pool before a farewell dinner of contemporary Mexican cuisine. Transfer to the airport the next day for your onward flight.
