Chiang Mai (2) → Pai (2) → Ranong (2) → Koh Yao Yai (3) → BangkokTrace a path from incense-filled Bangkok temples to Chiang Mai’s mountain shrines, Pai’s steaming forest springs, and the calm of Phuket’s shores, a journey where culture, nature, and renewal unfold in rhythm
Pai
Tucked into the mountains north of Chiang Mai, Pai is a laid-back valley town where rice fields, hot springs, and waterfalls set the rhythm. Rustic bathhouses and outdoor pools draw on the area’s geothermal waters, offering quiet soaks with views of bamboo groves and forested hills. The town hums with night markets, cafés, and live music, while nearby trails lead to canyons and hill-tribe villages. Pai feels youthful yet timeless — a retreat where nature, wellness, and easygoing charm meet.
Koh Yao Yai
Between Phuket and Krabi, Koh Yao Yai is a quieter alternative to Thailand’s busier islands. Its shores are lined with palm-fringed beaches and fishing villages, while inland, coconut groves and rubber plantations shape daily life. Wellness here is found in the island’s slower rhythm — sunrise kayaking, cycling shaded lanes, or unwinding in eco-lodges that overlook Phang Nga Bay. Koh Yao Yai is simple, authentic, and restorative, a place where time seems to stretch with the tides.
Chiang Mai
Northern Thailand’s cultural capital, Chiang Mai is a city of temples, night markets, and leafy streets framed by mountains. Wellness thrives here: herbal saunas, massage schools, and spa resorts offering treatments drawn from Lanna traditions. The surrounding countryside holds hot springs, waterfalls, and trekking trails through forest and hill-tribe villages. Days move easily between gilded stupas, bustling bazaars, and calm riverside cafés. Chiang Mai is both restorative and vibrant — a place where heritage, healing, and creativity meet.
Ranong
On Thailand’s Andaman coast, Ranong is famed for its therapeutic hot springs, some of the most celebrated in the country. Pools bubble in lush gardens and riverside resorts, their waters long valued for their softening and restorative qualities. The town itself is unhurried, a gateway to offshore islands and national parks filled with mangroves and waterfalls. Ranong is warm in both climate and welcome — a place where soaking, seafood, and coastal calm flow together.
Bangkok
Thailand’s capital is a city of contrasts — gilded temples and neon-lit skylines, bustling canals and serene monasteries. The Grand Palace and Wat Pho glow with history, while floating markets and street food stalls keep daily life vibrant. Amid the energy, wellness takes on urban forms: traditional Thai massage, herbal steams, and riverside retreats that give respite from the pace. Bangkok is intense yet grounding, a place where culture, flavour, and rhythm collide.
Day 1. Arrival in Chiang Mai
Arrive in the cultural capital of northern Thailand. Transfer to your boutique hotel and settle in before exploring the evening buzz of the Old City. Enjoy a gentle stroll around candle-lit temples or browse the night bazaar. Dinner is a relaxed northern Thai welcome feast—herbal curries, sticky rice, and fragrant tea.
Day 2. San Kamphaeng Hot Springs & Temples
Begin with a guided visit to Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s iconic golden temple perched above the valley. Later, drive to San Kamphaeng Hot Springs to soak in mineral-rich waters surrounded by greenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch with local specialties and try the quirky spring-boiled eggs, a regional tradition. Return to the city for a Thai massage or spa treatment before dinner.
Day 3. Chiang Mai → Pai
Take the scenic mountain road to Pai, winding past forests and villages (approx. 3 hrs). On arrival, check in to your hot spring resort, where mineral pools sit by the river. Afternoon options: soak in natural pools, cycle through rice paddies, or visit the Tha Pai hot spring area for a rustic local experience. Evening free to wander Pai’s walking street, alive with lanterns and street food.
Day 4. Pai’s Nature & Wellness
Wake to birdsong and misty hills. Start with morning yoga or a soak at your resort. Explore Pai Canyon’s red sandstone ridges, then visit a local Shan village to learn about traditional crafts. Afternoon free to enjoy a hot stone massage or more time in the thermal pools. Sunset at Yun Lai Viewpoint, with panoramic valley views, rounds out the day.
Day 5. Pai → Chiang Mai → Ranong
Return to Chiang Mai for a short domestic flight south to Ranong (gateway to southern hot springs). On arrival, check into your spa hotel near the Raksawarin Hot Springs. Evening soak in the landscaped pools—popular with locals for their skin-softening minerals—followed by a local seafood dinner.
Day 6. Ranong’s Springs & Nature
Spend the morning bathing at Raksawarin or a nearby private hot spring resort. Afternoon excursion to Ngao Waterfall National Park: wander through rainforest trails, spot hornbills, and enjoy cooling mountain streams. Evening option: herbal spa treatment infused with lemongrass and ginger.
Day 7. Ranong → Koh Yao Yai
Take a short flight or transfer via Phuket, followed by a boat to Koh Yao Yai. Arrive at your eco-luxury beach resort, where infinity pools merge with sea views. Afternoon free to swim, relax, or indulge in the resort spa. Evening barefoot dinner by the water.
Day 8. Koh Yao Yai Wellness & Island Life
Begin with sunrise yoga on the beach, then a day at leisure. Options include a cooking class with local herbs, cycling through coconut groves, or a guided kayak through mangroves. Return to the resort spa for a sea-view herbal steam or Thai massage.
Day 9. Koh Yao Yai Retreat
Another full day to unwind. Swim in warm waters, book a signature bathing ritual at the spa, or take a boat excursion to nearby Phang Nga Bay, where limestone cliffs rise dramatically from turquoise seas. Evening cocktails at sunset close your beach escape.
Day 10. Koh Yao Yai → Bangkok & Departure
Transfer back by boat and flight to Bangkok for your onward journey. Depending on flight time, stop for a final Thai spa treatment or market stroll. Depart feeling rebalanced, rejuvenated, and deeply immersed in Thailand’s springs, spirit, and serenity.
