    Portland

Oregon’s largest city thrives on quirk and creativity — a patchwork of leafy neighbourhoods, indie bookstores, coffee roasters, and food carts. Its cultural scene runs from contemporary galleries to intimate jazz clubs, while forested trails in Forest Park and along the Columbia Gorge are just minutes away. Bathing culture also has a foothold here, with Japanese-style bathhouses, hammams, and spa retreats woven into the urban rhythm. Portland is a city that feels both progressive and playful, a gateway to Oregon’s landscapes and wellness traditions alike.

    Belknap Hot Springs

On the banks of the McKenzie River in Oregon, Belknap Hot Springs is a forest retreat where mineral pools steam beneath towering firs. The resort’s historic lodge and manicured gardens — complete with a hidden stone labyrinth — offer a sense of quiet seclusion. Bathing here is unhurried: outdoor pools look out over the rushing river, while nearby trails lead into the Willamette National Forest. It’s a place where hot water, cool air, and mountain greenery combine in harmony.

    Umpqua

Deep in Oregon’s forested valleys, Umpqua is a landscape of waterfalls, rivers, and hidden hot springs. Wooden soaking pools cling to mossy cliffs above the rushing North Umpqua River, their mineral waters steaming softly in the cool air. Nearby trails lead to cascades like Toketee Falls, where basalt columns frame thundering water, and to quiet swimming holes in summer. The region feels wild and restorative, a place where bathing is inseparable from the rhythm of the forest — elemental, refreshing, and deeply connected to nature.

    Lake Tahoe

    Crater Lake

Formed from the collapsed caldera of Mount Mazama, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and one of its most striking natural wonders. Its waters shine an otherworldly blue, reflecting sheer cliffs and pine forests that ring the rim. In summer, boat tours carry visitors across the lake to Wizard Island, while scenic drives and rim hikes reveal shifting perspectives of its vastness. Winter transforms the crater into a snowy wilderness, perfect for snowshoeing under brilliant skies. Remote and pristine, Crater Lake is less a stop than an awe-inspiring pause — a reminder of nature’s scale and stillness.

    Bend

Framed by the Cascade peaks, Bend is both outdoorsy and effortlessly cool. Skiers descend the slopes of Mount Bachelor in winter, while summer draws hikers, rafters, and mountain bikers into the high desert. The town itself hums with craft breweries, art spaces, and cafés, all with a laid-back edge. Nearby hot springs and spa resorts continue the balance, offering warmth against the crisp alpine air. Bend feels adventurous yet grounded, a hub where mountain culture meets modern creativity.
